Privacy policy
Taryntech Solutions (Pvt) Ltd ("Taryntech", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have under the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07] of Zimbabwe.
1. Who we are
Taryntech Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We are based in Harare, Zimbabwe.

2. What we collect
When you send a request through our contact form, we collect:
- your full name;
- your organisation;
- your email address;
- your phone number, if you give it;
- the product or service you are interested in, and any message you write.
When you visit the website, our hosting server automatically records standard technical information in its logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. We use this only to keep the website secure and working.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information through this website, and we ask you not to include any in your message.
3. Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking tools. The page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google when the page loads. If we add visitor statistics in future, we will use a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies, and we will update this policy.
4. Why we use your information
- To respond to your request for a Netguard demo, a Taryn-OS trial, our Data Protection Officer services or a general enquiry.
- To arrange and follow up on the demo, trial or service you asked about.
- To keep the website and our systems secure, for example by blocking spam and abuse.
We process your information because you asked us to contact you (your consent), and because we have a legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and protecting our systems. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our DPO.
We will not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent your personal information.
5. Who can see your information
- Our sales team, for Netguard and Taryn-OS requests (sales@taryntech.co.zw).
- Our Data Protection Officer team, for DPO service requests (dpo@taryntech.co.zw).
- Our website and email hosting provider, which stores the website and delivers our email on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example to comply with a lawful request from a regulator or the courts.
6. Transfers outside Zimbabwe
Our hosting and email provider may store data on servers outside Zimbabwe. Where that happens, we take steps to make sure your information receives an adequate level of protection, as the Cyber and Data Protection Act requires.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to business with us: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Enquiries that become a customer relationship: for as long as the relationship lasts, plus any period the law requires for business records.
- Server logs: up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
8. How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Form submissions are sent directly to our business mailboxes and are not stored in a database on the web server. Access to our mailboxes is limited to the staff who need it and protected with strong passwords and multi-factor authentication.
If a breach of personal information occurs that puts you at risk, we will notify the Data Protection Authority (POTRAZ) and, where required, the people affected.
9. Your rights
Under the Cyber and Data Protection Act you have the right to:
- know whether we hold personal information about you, and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to how we use your information, or withdraw your consent;
- complain to the Data Protection Authority, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ).
To use any of these rights, email dpo@taryntech.co.zw. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
10. Children
This website is for businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
